Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle, made as a darker, smokier take on Johnnie Walker Black Label. It was created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge.
The blend is matured in heavily charred casks and uses a greater proportion of West Coast and Island whiskies, which brings the influence of Islay single malts to the fore.
Peat smoke sits over raisins, apples, pears and citrus, softening into sweet vanilla and spice. The finish is warming, with oak tannins and lingering smoke.
