Clynelish 14 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from a distillery on the eastern coast of Scotland's North Highland region. The malt is often described as waxy, briny and mildly peated.
The nose offers ripe plums and red grapes over nutty barley, with a sour citrus note that sits well within the peat. The palate is soft, with caramel and bright peat moving towards a mix of sweet, salty and fruity flavours. The finish is drying and smoky, with a taste of seawater, black pepper, sticky dates, salted caramel and a twist of bitter lemon peel.
