This is a Clynelish single malt from The Single Malts of Scotland, made from a batch of three ex-bourbon barrels. It was distilled in 2011 and aged for more than ten years.
It is described as a mouth-coating dram, with fruit set against buttery, creamy notes.
The nose pairs coconut hand cream with pear drops, alongside baking spice of cinnamon, ginger and allspice, then rolled oats, jasmine, a slight tropical note and a hint of melted butter. On the palate come pear juice and bright, tangy pineapple with a buttery texture. The finish is fresh, sweet pineapple juice, a delicate floral note and candied ginger.
