This is a single cask Clynelish, matured for 12 years in a refill ex-bourbon barrel and bottled for the Scotch Drinkers Only range at its natural cask strength of 56.5% ABV. It is cask number 31, with an outturn of 78 bottles in 70cl, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The cask was divided in three, and this portion stayed in its original barrel, leaving the distillery character in front.
The nose shows lemon zest, beeswax, vanilla bean and wildflower honey. The palate brings honeycomb, lemon curd, ripe pear and toasted almonds, and the finish is long, with beeswax, citrus peel and a touch of sea breeze.
