Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It uses a higher proportion of smoky West Coast and Islay malts, matured in deeply charred oak casks to give a darker, smokier profile.
The nose is smouldering peat smoke, dark vanilla and hints of dried fruit. On the palate there are layers of spice, charred oak and ripe orchard fruit, with a wave of smoky richness. The finish is long, warming and smoky, with lingering sweetness.
