Johnnie Walker Double Black (1L, 40%)

A blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker, in a 1 litre bottle at 40%. Master Blender Jim Beveridge created it as a smokier, bolder step on from Black Label. It is made from single malts and grain whiskies, with a higher proportion of intensely peated Islay and West Coast malts, and matured in heavily charred oak casks. It began as a travel retail limited edition before joining the permanent range. The nose is smouldering campfire smoke, fresh citrus zest and dried fruits. On the palate, full-bodied peat smoke sits with creamy vanilla, roasted coffee and warm spices. The finish is long, smoky and slightly sweet, with charred oak.
