A 19 year old single malt from the Isle of Jura, named after the Paps of Jura on the western side of the island. It comes from the range first released for travel retail.
The whisky was given a finishing period in casks that previously held 40 year old Pedro Ximénez sherry. It is bottled at 45.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers quince jam, toasted oak smoke, juicy prune and oily walnut. The palate has green apple sharpness, thick caramel and chocolate chip cookie dough, and the finish stays chocolatey with sea salt and rye spice.
