Kanosuke 2023 Limited Edition is a peated Japanese single malt from the Kanosuke Distillery, bottled in 2023 at a cask strength of 59% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled between 2018 and 2019.
It was matured in American oak casks that previously held Mellowed Kozuru shochu, together with sherry casks. No colouring has been added and it has not been chill-filtered.
The aroma is sweet, fruity and pleasantly smoky. On the palate come herbal notes, apple pie and gentle cinnamon, and the finish is long and warm with spiced honey and soft peat.
