Karuizawa – Five Decades: Mars

Mars is part of the Karuizawa Five Decades collection, which was assembled by a private collector over several years from whiskies distilled across five decades. For the project, 210 bottles were opened and assessed, then blended into seven new expressions, each named after a classical celestial body. Mars takes its name from the planet associated with strength and action, and is meant to reflect the power and intensity of Karuizawa whisky. Just 30 bottles were produced.
