Kentucky Owl Takumi Edition is a Kentucky straight bourbon, created as a collaboration between Kentucky Owl and Japanese master blender Yahisa Yusuke. Kentucky Owl's master blender, John Rhea, worked on it too, and it is a limited release.
The nose has light rye bread, sweet caramel and a hint of tangy fruit salad. The palate is full-bodied, opening with buttery rye bread before cinnamon and caramel sauce cling to the tongue, with apple and pear. The finish is lasting and flavourful.
