Kentucky Peerless Toasted Rye Whiskey Batch 2 (75cl, 54.5%)

Kentucky Peerless Toasted Rye Whiskey Batch 2 is a sweet-mash rye from Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. in Louisville, bottled at barrel proof, 54.5% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. No water is added and it is not chill-filtered. The rye matured first in new American oak with a number 3 char, then finished in a second, custom medium-toast barrel from Kelvin Cooperage that is not charred. It is distilled, aged and bottled in Louisville. Batch 2 was released on 12 July 2025, following Batch 1 in March of that year. Distillery notes mention toasted honeysuckle ice cream, soft floral nectar, blackberry jam and candied orange peel, with aromas of vanilla pudding, banana bread, cinnamon and clove.
