Kentucky Peerless – Toasted Straight Rye Whiskey

This is a straight rye whiskey from Kentucky Peerless, finished in toasted barrels and bottled non-chill filtered. The whiskey is first aged in new charred oak, then transferred into specially selected toasted barrels. The toasting deepens the influence of the oak and adds smoothness while keeping the character of Peerless Rye. It is described as balancing the natural spice of the rye with rich caramel, toasted vanilla, roasted nuts and hints of dark chocolate.
