Kessler Hochgewächs Chardonnay Brut (75cl, 12.5%)

Kessler Hochgewächs Chardonnay Brut is a German sparkling wine, or Sekt, made entirely from Chardonnay. It comes from the prestige range of Kessler, described as the oldest Sekt house in Germany. The wine is made by the traditional method, with careful work by hand, and rests on its yeast for about 20 months. The result is a Brut style at 12.5% vol, in a 75cl bottle. Kessler Hochgewächs has a long history. It was served aboard the airship Graf Zeppelin on its world voyage in 1929, and later poured for state guests of the German government.
