A peated Islay single malt from Kilchoman, the 13th edition of its 100% Islay release, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. The barley comes from the 2012, 2013 and 2014 harvests, and the whisky matured for a minimum of 8 years in 44 bourbon barrels.
It is produced entirely on one farm, with the barley malted on site and peated using local Islay peat. The edition is limited to 13,000 bottles.
The nose is malt loaf, toffee apple, banana bread, citrus, lavender and pear drops, with sea salt and a hint of peat smoke. On the palate, vanilla and peat smoke meet caramel, sultanas and spicy oak. The finish is silky, with crumpets, butter and honey.
