Kilchoman 100% Islay 15th Edition is a nine-year-old Islay single malt, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from Islay-grown barley from the 2014 and 2015 harvests, in the Concerto and Publican varieties, and vatted from 54 ex-bourbon barrels.
Caramel, vanilla and butterscotch from the casks sit alongside natural citrus sweetness and Kilchoman's peat smoke.
The nose brings vanilla, tropical fruit, fresh hay, toasted oak and salted butter. On the palate there is milk chocolate, salted caramel and fresh peat smoke, with candied citrus, lemon, ripe pear and a little white pepper. The finish is lingering, with maritime peat smoke, fresh fruit and honeyed sweetness.
