This is a 15 year old Kilchoman from the distillery's 20th Anniversary Cask Series, bottled at 52.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is an Islay single malt, distilled in 2008 or 2009 and matured in five first-fill ex-sherry casks.
The release is a limited edition of 3,153 bottles.
The nose is described as soft and peppery, with rich sherry sweetness and a hint of salty brine. On the palate it is rounded and rich, with a peppery kick, sherry-soaked dark fruits and gentle smoke. The finish is viscous and warming, with rich fruits, salty dark chocolate and a balance of sweetness and smoke.
