Kilchoman – 2006 Vintage 5 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Kilchoman 2006 Vintage is a five-year-old Islay single malt, one of the distillery's first releases. It matured in a combination of first-fill and refill bourbon casks. Kilchoman was founded in 2005, and its first cask was filled in December of that year. Christmas cake, preserved fruit and smoke come through on the nose. The palate offers butterscotch and light citrus with a long-lasting sweetness, and the finish is smoky, peaty and clean.
