This is the Kilchoman 2006 Vintage, an Islay single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2006, matured in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels, and bottled in 2011.
It was the distillery's first 5 year old release, and reflects Kilchoman's early style.
The nose is described as peaty, with soft cooked fruits and Christmas cake. The palate has cloves, butterscotch and soft citrus, mouth-filling with a lasting sweetness. The finish is peaty, fresh and clean.
