This is a Kilchoman single malt from Islay, distilled in 2006 and bottled by the distillery in 2009 at 46% ABV. It is the Autumn Release of that year, an edition of 10,000 bottles in 70cl.
The whisky matured in bourbon casks and was then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is smoky, with sweet malt, vanilla and ripe fruit. On the palate, peat smoke meets malty sweetness, fruit, vanilla and gentle spice. The finish is lasting and smoky, with malt, spice and dried fruit.
