Kilchoman Casado is a single malt released in 2022 as a limited edition. Casado is Portuguese for wedding, and the name describes how the whisky was put together.
The spirit matured for six years in fresh bourbon casks. Thirty-eight of those casks were then married for two years in two Portuguese red wine casks, each holding 6,000 litres. In 2022, 12,900 bottles were filled at 46% ABV.
