Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength is a single malt from the Kilchoman distillery on Islay, in a 70cl bottle. This is the 2021 edition of the Scottish whisky.
In the glass it is a pale straw colour. The nose is strongly peaty, with a mix of fruit aromas rising through the smoke. The palate offers rich tropical fruit and a hint of vanilla, with a fresh, complex sweetness.
The finish is in the classic Islay style, fresh and peaty, and slow to fade.
