Kilchoman Single Cask 'Sado - The Harmony' 8 Years Old Bourbon Cask (70cl, 58%)

This is a single cask Kilchoman from Islay, matured for eight years in a bourbon cask. It was filled on 1 December 2015 and bottled on 4 December 2023 at a natural cask strength of 58%, in a 70cl bottle. Only 257 bottles were released. It is the final bottling in the Sado series by Mizunara, named after the Japanese tea ceremony. It reflects the harmony and mutual respect between host and guest, and the label combines the designs of the two earlier bottlings. The nose offers floral sweetness, lemon, vanilla and soft peat smoke. Lemon and citrus lead the palate, with butterscotch sweetness and a hint of salt. The finish is long and clean, with citrus fruit and maritime peat smoke.
