Kilchoman – Single Malt Maury Cask (70cl, 50%)

This is a limited 2026 bottling of Islay single malt from Kilchoman, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's first full maturation in ex-Maury casks. Maury is a sweet fortified wine from Roussillon in southern France, made mainly from Grenache Noir. The whisky spent its whole maturation in these casks rather than receiving a finish. It is bottled without added colour and without chill-filtration. The nose offers figs, raisins and dates with salted caramel, orange peel and soft peat smoke. On the palate, pipe smoke and dark chocolate meet dark sugar syrup and warming spice. The finish keeps dried fruit, cocoa and earthy peat smoke, with a gentle dry spice.
