Kilchoman – Uniquely Islay An Samhradh 2016/2023 Port Hogshead (70cl, 56.3%)

This is a single cask Islay malt from Kilchoman, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2023 at 56.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the Uniquely Islay series, under the name An Samhradh. The whisky spent almost five years in a bourbon barrel before a further 20 months in a port hogshead, where it was finished. The port hogshead finish brings candied fruit, gentle smoke and nutty caramel.
