This is a 12 year old single malt from Kilkerran, distilled in Campbeltown and bottled at 46% ABV.
The nose combines peat, maraschino cherries, fudge and toffee, coffee beans and fruity jam with light smoke. The palate is earthy, with dark fruit such as plums, cherries and sweet raspberries, cooked apples and a touch of dark chocolate, ending in dry peat smoke and a coastal Campbeltown character. The finish brings sea salt, bitter cocoa, smouldering campfire, sandalwood, grilled meat and dry peat smoke.
