Kilkerran 8 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt matured entirely in sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, 55.8% ABV. This is the 2023 release.
The nose shows clear sherry with sweet dark fruit, light herbal notes and a hint of smoke. The palate is complex and full, spicy and fruity, with gingerbread, ripe cherries, sweet sultanas and dark chocolate, plus a surprising light touch of menthol and a little peat smoke. The finish is long and intense, with smoke, coffee and an elegant note of wood.
