Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 11 is a heavily peated single malt from Kilkerran in Campbeltown. The batch was matured in 90 per cent bourbon casks and 10 per cent sherry casks. Releases in this series appear only twice a year, and this one is a limited edition. Tasting notes describe a nose of bonfire, burnt caramel, fresh citrus and a touch of salty sea air. The palate brings peat smoke, vanilla, sweet malt and spice, and the finish is long, with smoke and sweetness lingering.
