Killowen – Sagaland #05 The Young Son Vintage Rum Cask (59.1%)

This is the fifth edition of the Barantuil Sagaland series from Killowen Distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland, known as The Young Son. It comes from a vintage rum cask, number KD156, and was bottled at 59.1%. A robust malty depth sits alongside the sweet, exotic character of the rum cask: molasses, dark sugar and tropical fruit over a spicy base. Water brings out further fruit and spice.
