Kinahan's – Kasc Project [B] Irish Whiskey (43%)

Kinahan's Kasc Project [B] is a blended Irish whiskey matured in a handmade hybrid cask, built from five kinds of wood: Portuguese oak, American oak, French oak, Hungarian oak and chestnut. The project treats the origin of the wood as the main influence on flavour. It is bottled at 43%. The nose has red plum, a soft hint of pear, red apple and tropical fruit. On the palate are vanilla, charred oak and ripe mango with caramelised tropical fruit, then sun-dried raisin and fig. The finish brings soft nutmeg, orange, clove, floral honeycomb and syrupy pineapple.
