A Speyside single malt from Knockando, aged for 18 years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The name is Gaelic for 'little black hill', and the distillery dates from 1898.
The whisky was matured mainly in sherry casks, with bourbon casks also involved.
Almonds, sherry and oak lead the flavour, followed by nuts, fruit and sweetness, with cinnamon and pepper among the spices. The finish is of medium length, with sherry tones and hints of orange peel, caramel and chocolate.
