Krobar Cask Strength Rye is a California craft rye whiskey from Krobar Craft Distillery, bottled straight from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered, in a 750ml bottle. The Batch 3 bottling is 56% ABV.
The mash is 90% rye and 10% malted rye, aged for over two years in small 26-gallon charred American oak barrels. The distillery was founded in Paso Robles in 2012 and now works from San Luis Obispo.
Tasting notes describe spicy clove and cinnamon, with chocolate, leather, smoke, caramel, honey and vanilla.
