La Bota de Malt Whisky No. 88 'Overseas' is a single-cask malt whisky in a 70cl bottle, selected by Equipo Navazos as a limited release.
It was distilled in Scotland and matured in Jerez, Spain. It is approximately 12 years old, and spent its final 7 years in a single cask from a solera of very old dry Oloroso sherry. The result pairs a distinctly smoky Scottish character with intense oxidative sherry influence.
The nose offers smoky malt, dried fruit, walnuts and old oak. The palate is rich with dried fruit and roasted nuts, balanced by peaty smoke. The finish is long and warming, with dry Oloroso and seasoned oak.
