This is a 10 year old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, bottled at 43%. It is a strongly smoky whisky, with a powerful, spicy aroma.
The nose is intense and peaty, with a maritime, bitter edge and notes of iodine and seaweed. On the palate salty peat smoke fills the mouth alongside a light sweetness, before giving way to sea and salt with touches of wood.
The finish is long and peaty, with plenty of salt, bitter spices and seaweed.
