Lagavulin Offerman Edition is the first release in a collaboration between the Islay distillery and actor Nick Offerman, launched in October 2019. Offerman worked with then distillery manager Colin Gordon to select the whisky and helped design the bottle, which carries his portrait and signature.
It is an 11 year old single malt, matured in first-fill and recharred refill bourbon casks and bottled at 92 proof (46%).
The nose is smoked meats, sweet malt, vanilla, peat and pepper. The palate is moderately rich and creamy with peat smoke and dark berries, and the finish is light, smoky and savoury.
