Lagavulin 12 Year Old Special Release 2025 is a 12 year old single malt from the Lagavulin distillery on Islay. The distillery officially dates from 1816, and the malt is dried over peat fires, which gives the whisky its smoky character.
Bonfire smoke, ash and iodine lead the nose. The palate adds toffee, honey and vanilla alongside citrus, black pepper and a touch of roasted coffee. The finish is long and warming, with ash and tobacco.
