Lagavulin 8 Year Old is a special bottling released by Diageo to mark the 200th anniversary of the Islay distillery. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle and matured in American oak.
The eight-year age echoes an account from around 1880, when a whisky chronicler tasted an 8 year old Lagavulin and described it as exceptionally fine.
