Lagavulin – Distillers Edition 2023 (70cl, 43%)

Lagavulin Distillers Edition 2023 is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Lagavulin has been made since 1816 and celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2016. The Distillers Edition is a limited series in which each cask is individually chosen to suit the character of the malt. The two-part maturation adds depth and complexity, and brings certain flavours forward more strongly than in the regular bottlings while keeping the original character of the whisky. Lagavulin is described as intense in flavour, smoky and rich, with peat-smoked barley giving a mix of shoreline air and smoky dryness.
