Lagavulin Offerman Edition is an 11 year old Islay single malt finished for four months in former Guinness beer casks, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the second collaboration between Lagavulin and the actor and woodworker Nick Offerman, released in May 2021.
The casks came from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, and were chosen by Nick Offerman with his father Ric and the distillery manager Colin Gordon. It was the first time an Islay single malt had been paired with an Irish stout cask. The bottle carries Nick Offerman's portrait and signature.
The nose combines peat and woodfire smoke with creamy caramel and dark chocolate.
