Lagg – Corriecravie (70cl, 55%)

Lagg Corriecravie is the second bottling in the core range from the new Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran. It is bottled at 55% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in bourbon casks, then spent six months finishing in an Oloroso sherry hogshead, with the sherry wood coming directly from Miguel Martin in Jerez. The malt is peated to 50 ppm. The nose offers smoke, chocolate, red berries and kirsch. The palate is oily, rich and elegant, with peat, cherries, hazelnut, figs and chocolate. The finish is warm, with smoke and red fruit.
