Lagg – Kilmory Edition (70cl, 46%)

This is Lagg Kilmory Edition, the new flagship of the core range from Lagg, a young distillery on the Isle of Arran founded in 2017. It is a smoky single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks, representing the house style. The spirit is twice distilled, using water from a borehole on the distillery grounds. It was bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colour. The nose is fresh and sharp, with heather and citrus wrapped in smoke. The palate is fruity at first, then covered in fire and smoke. The finish is long.
