Lagg Corriecravie is a heavily peated single malt from Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The malted barley is peated to 50ppm.
The whisky is matured in bourbon barrels, then finished for six months in Oloroso sherry hogsheads from Jerez. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings menthol, dried hay, dark chocolate, red berries and cola, with peat smoke beneath. On the palate, smoky embers meet milk chocolate, hazelnut and redcurrant, and the finish is long, with charred oak, dark chocolate and gentle smoke.
