Lagg Kilmory Edition (46%)

Lagg Kilmory Edition is the first core range release from Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 46% ABV. The name comes from the village of Lagg in the parish of Kilmory, where the distillery was founded, and Arran Distillers chose it for their first permanent single malt. The malt is made from Concerto barley peated to 50 ppm and matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon casks. It is neither coloured nor chill-filtered. The nose is vegetal and fruity, with smoked heather and burnt citrus. A burst of fruit opens the palate before giving way to a light woodsmoke, and the finish is lingering, rich in citrus and peat.
