Lagg Small Batch Quarter Cask is a peated single malt from the Isle of Arran, and the first quarter cask bottling of Lagg for the global market. It is bottled at 56% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for six years in a 125-litre ex-bourbon quarter cask. It was distilled from Concerto barley peated to 50ppm.
The nose is led by smoke, with hints of citrus and young fruit. The palate is oily, with peat and smoke alongside fudge, vanilla, dark chocolate and black pepper. The finish is long, with peat smoke and a salty touch.
