Laizhou Fino Sherry Cask is a Chinese single malt from the Laizhou distillery in Qionglai, Sichuan. It is matured entirely in first-fill Fino sherry casks from Spain and bottled at 46%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The first-fill casks bring clear fruit and cask spice, while the malt base stays noticeable. The nose opens with ripe raisins and red dates, set against a salty-sour plum note. On the palate, light malt and soft fruit sweetness meet cinnamon and fine wood. The finish is dry and elegant, with cinnamon, wood and a last impression of dried fruit.
