A single malt from Lantenhammer in Germany, from the 2020 vintage and named Briis, which means 'sea breeze' in Söl'ring Frisian. It matured in a 225-litre bourbon cask, partly on the cutter Gret Palucca and partly in a bunker on Sylt.
It was bottled at cask strength, 50.3%, in 70cl bottles. The edition is limited to 261 bottles, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
It is a lightly smoky malt that combines maritime freshness with gentle depth.
