This is Laphroaig Cairdeas for Feis Ile 2024, a 10 year old single malt bottled in 2024 at 52.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in quarter casks that had held PX sherry.
The nose is described as Brazil nut toffee brittle with vanilla custard and baking spice, then chocolate raisins and a touch of spiced orange. The palate is sweet and oily, with smoky orange toffee, campfire smoke, dried fruit, coffee grounds and liquorice root. The finish is long, lightly sweet and dry, with pepper, peat and smoke.
