Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish is a peated Islay single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures for ten years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then spends up to 12 months in European oak Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is usually described as robust peat smoke and maritime saltiness, with sweet dried fruits, vanilla custard, warming spice, toffee and chocolate orange. The palate has medicinal peat, iodine and seaweed alongside dried fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg and dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke, sweet sherry and subtle oak spice.
