This is a 10-year-old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, matured for a decade and then finished in ex-Oloroso casks. The finish adds a sherry sweetness to the robust aromas of the Laphroaig 10, so the peat character stays at the centre of the whisky. It is a pairing of peat smoke and Oloroso sherry. Flavours are usually described as strong peat alongside the softer notes of Oloroso sherry, with citrus and spice running through each sip.
