Laphroaig – 10 Years James Eadie (70cl, 52.3%)

This is an independent bottling of Laphroaig by James Eadie, aged 10 years in a refill barrel and bottled in 2026 at a cask strength of 52.3%. It comes in a 70cl bottle. James Eadie was a Scottish brewer in the late 19th century. Their great-great-grandchild has worked in whisky for more than 30 years and now guides the James Eadie bottlings. The nose opens with firm peat and smoke, then sea breeze, iodine, citrus, pepper and nuts. The palate is oily, with plenty of peat, charcoal, citrus and maritime notes. The finish is long, with peat smoke, oak and spice.
