Laphroaig 12 Years Old is an Islay single malt matured for twelve years in oak casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a peated whisky, with smoke at the centre and sweeter notes alongside it.
The nose brings peat smoke, sea air, iodine and a little seaweed, with vanilla, honey and a light citrus freshness behind. On the palate it is full and oily, with strong peat smoke, toasted oak, spice and malty sweetness, plus a faint salty edge. The finish is long, warming and smoky.
